I appreciate a denim dress because a.) it’s a dress which means its a one-stop shop and b.) it’s breathable material that is easy to wear and versatile enough to dress up or down. They also transition into other seasons easily because who doesn’t want to wear denim all year round? (If you raised your hand, put. it. down.)
I am embarrassed to tell you how many denim dresses I actually own. Therefore, I am only going to share three of my faves. But don’t fear, I’m also going to tell you where you can find some of your own and how to wear them!
Starting with this oldie-but-goodie from Gap. This dress works for the mom-on-the-go or for the social gal who wants to meet up with girlfriends for brunch. The tie at the neck adds interest while the sleeves have the cutest gather around the wrist. I love the drawstring waist because even if your waist is not summer-ready (now, I’m raising my hand), you can create the illusion of a waistline by pulling the drawstring tie. And yes- it has pockets!
Next, we have a trendy look from Lucky Brand. This dress is what I call my short and sassy look. I don’t normally wear anything short enough to put the legs on display but give me puff sleeves, a hi-lo hem and denim . . . I’ll give you kneecaps and thighs all day! What’s even better- you can catch this for sale online here.
I also love this dress because I can eat until my heart’s content and not suck in my stomach. Yes, just yes. We all have our days when we want to let it all hang out. This dress is my go-to. Suck in for what? You can wear this with flats or heels as I did. If you’re craving pattern, add a scarf in your hair or have fun with colorful accessories.
This last dress is what I call my sweetie-pie dress. The bow makes me look innocent (are you falling for that?). I honestly like it because it’s sweet with a touch of prep. I kept the style light with these Nine West flats but you can spice things up with a bootie or wedge sandal. This is perfect for my ladies who live in an area where it gets cooler in the evening yet not so cool that you can’t show a little leg. Roll up those sleeves and get to styling!
I’m always on the hunt for new denim dresses and decided to share some recent goodies with you as well. Just click on the descriptions to see these amazing styles:
